“Jacobs Transport and Jacobs Autocars each go their own way.” The time has come: after 90 years of living together, the buses and trucks of Jacobs in Genk are definitively separating.
Bart Tilmans has meanwhile purchased 4.2 hectares of land on Mondeolaan on the old Ford site to establish himself with Jacobs Transport.
“We have the opportunity to build 30,000 square meters there,” says Tilmans. “We will set up our new head office and later warehouse for logistics purposes there. We also have room to expand further afterwards. We estimate that we will be able to move by 2025. Until then, we will remain at the Zuiderring site.”
