SALES MANAGER TRANSPORT & LOGISTICS

Jacobs Transport is a Genk medium-sized transport company in full growth. 100 drivers and a small close team of colleagues in the office form the basis of our family business. We are mainly active in the Benelux, Germany and Northern France, within a radius of 400 km around Genk. The structure and short lines of communication ensure great involvement and participation on the work floor. Therefore, career opportunities are also an asset. You enter in the morning with a smile on your face and make your way towards the coffee machine. You can choose that delicious cappuccino from the luxurious range. Along the way you greet your colleagues from the other departments and take a seat at your desk. You have a fantastic view through the large windows of our state-of-the-art office. You are brimming with energy knowing that a new day means new opportunities.

You already have some connections in the world of logistics and love to broaden your network. In this way you do Business Development for the logistics story and the transport event. Addressing and convincing potential customers of Jacobs’ expertise comes naturally to you. Customer visits are therefore completely your thing. The follow-up afterwards is the most important thing, the adrenaline to bring in a new customer, that’s what you do it for!

Telephone calls do not deter you, in fact, you find it important to build a good relationship with new customers, and take care of the account managementpart where you are responsible for your customer portfolio. You also prepare correct quotations and then accurately and correctly register the agreed agreements in our system. You find overview, structure and challenging targets important. You work independently, have a sense of responsibility and report to our COO.

What we expect from you:

  • 3-5 years of sales related work experience in the logistics sector
  • A customer-oriented mentality and a responsible work attitude.
  • Knowledge of working with MS Office.
  • You express yourself flawlessly in Dutch and English, French and German is a plus.
