Jacobs Transport is a Genk medium-sized transport company in full growth. 100 drivers and a small close team of colleagues in the office form the basis of our family business. We are mainly active in the Benelux, Germany and Northern France, within a radius of 400 km around Genk. Job Information:

You enter in the morning with a smile on your face and make your way towards the coffee machine. You can choose a strong, black coffee from the luxurious range. Along the way you greet your colleagues from the other departments and take a seat at your desk. You have a fantastic view through the large windows of our state-of-the-art office. The telephone rings and as the first point of contact for the drivers, you know that the first drivers are already reporting.

You are responsible for about 50 drivers that you schedule, taking into account driving and rest times. You follow the planning and make adjustments where necessary. The drivers love you because you can motivate them effortlessly and build a good relationship with them.

You are in constant contact with your partner in crime, the Customer Operations Officer. Together with her, you coordinate every day what is possible to make as many customers happy as possible. When it’s busy, you stay ‘cool & collected’ and do the necessary. You just get a kick out of solving problems and offering alternatives.

You will receive operational ‘on the job’ training from your colleagues. You have a sense of responsibility, weigh the pros and cons and dare to make decisions. You report to the manager, who closely monitors your process in the beginning and supports you where necessary.

What we expect from you:

  • a bachelor’s degree or several years of experience.
  • analytical and organizational skills.
  • a customer-oriented mentality, a flexible attitude and you are a real team player.
  • a good geographical knowledge of Belgium and its surroundings, the legislation regarding drive and rest times.
  • You express yourself flawlessly in Dutch and English, French/German/Romanian is a plus.
